Coachmaker's broad axe Prototype 5

This right-hand, single-bevel broad axe is forged from 4150 alloy steel. The back is ground flat with a slight camber for ease of hewing. Overall weight is 4lb. and blade length is approximately 7". The 16" handle is hand crafted of select hickory and is offset for ease of hewing logs. Included is a custom wooden blade cover. This axe is a one-off prototype.
