Coachmaker's broad axe Prototype 6

This right-hand, single-bevel broad hatchet is forged from 4150 alloy steel. The back is ground flat with a slight camber for ease of hewing. Overall weight is 3lb. 12oz. and blade length is approximately 6-3/4". The 17" handle is hand crafted of select hickory and is only slightly offset. Included is a custom wooden blade cover. This axe is a one-off prototype.
