Coachmaker's broad axe Prototype 7

This left-hand, single-bevel broad axe is forged from 4150 alloy steel. The back is ground flat with a slight camber for ease of hewing. Overall weight is 4lb. 13oz. and blade length is approximately 7-1/4". The 24" handle is hand crafted of select hickory and is offset for ease of hewing a log or beam. Included is a custom wooden blade cover. This axe is a one-off prototype.
