Froe

The froe is a splitting or riving tool used to process larger pieces of trees into wood for chairmaking, spoon carving and other “green wood” projects. Our froe is forged from medium carbon alloy steel, and has a turned hickory handle. Blade is aproxamately 12" long and 2" wide. Handle is turned hickory 16" long.
