Half Kent broad axe Prototype

This right-hand, single-bevel broad axe is forged from 4150 alloy steel. The back is ground flat with a slight camber for ease of hewing. Overall weight is 4lb. 10oz. and blade length is approximately 6-3/4". The 21" handle is hand crafted of select hickory and is offset for ease of hewing a log or beam. Included is a custom wooden blade cover. This axe is a one-off prototype.
