Large Bowl Adze

The large bowl adze is very powerful, yet easy to control. Beginners and experienced carvers alike appreciate the the ability to use two hands for exceptional control. For larger bowls, wooden trays and windsor chair seats, this is the tool for the job. This adze is forged from solid 4150 alloy steel. It has a hand crafted hickory or ash handle, stained and finished with a penetrating oil/varnish mix. Handles are 12"-13" long. Blades are approximately 2 3/8" across. Overall weight is just under 2 lbs.
